History Of Jatts (ਜੱਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ )

INTRODUCTION 

The Jats/Jatts of Northern India and Pakistan, are descendants of Indo-Aryan tribes.

In India, they inhabit the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. In Pakistan, they are found in the provinces of Punjab and Sindh.

The Jats ,like most South Asians,are mostly farmers;however they are also found in many other professions. A large number of Jats serve in the Indian Army, including the Jat Regiment, Rajputana Rifles, Sikh Regiment and the Grenadiers, among others. Jats also serve in the Pakistan Army particularly in the Punjab Regiment.

The Jat regions in India are among the most prosperous on a per-capita basis (Haryana, Punjab, and Gujarat are among the wealthiest of Indian states).

IN PUNJABI

ਜੱਟ ਹਿੰਦੂ, ਮੁਸਲਿਮ, ਸਿੱਖ ਤੇ ਬਿਸ਼ਨੋਈ ਆਦਿ ਕਈ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਖ਼ੂਨ ਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਹੈ। ਜੱਟ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨ ਦਾ ਰੁਖਾ ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲ ਦਾ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੱਟ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਡਰ ਜੋਧਾ, ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤ ਸੈਨਿਕ, ਹਿੰਮਤੀ, ਮਿਹਨਤੀ, ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਦਿਲੀ, ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਖਿਆਲ, ਖਾੜਕੂ ਤੇ ਬਦਲਾ ਖੋਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ ਦੋਸਤ ਤੇ ਪੱਕਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੱਟ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਬਿਹਤਰੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜੱਟਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਉਪ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਕਬੀਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਵੀਂ ਤੇ ਠੀਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਜੱਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਥਾਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੱਟ ਕਈ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਲਿਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਾ ਹੈ। ਕਈ ਜੱਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਛੜੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਰੇਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਲਿਤ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਨ | ਇਹ ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਜੱਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਹੀ ਹਨ | ਕਿਉਂਕੇ ਪਿਹਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਜਦੋ ਜਾਤ ਪਾਤ ਕੋਹੜ ਸੀ ਜਦੋ ਵਡੀ ਤੇ ਉਚੀ ਜਾਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੋ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਾਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ,ਪਰ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਾਤ ਦੇ ਵਡੀ ਜਾਤ ਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਨਾਂ ਲੇਂਦੇ ਸੀ | ਇਸ ਲੈ ਗੋਤ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਵਡੀ ਜਾਤ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ | ਗੋਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਜਾਤੀ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ | ਬਹੁਤੇ ਜੱਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਲੰਬਾ, ਰੰਗ ਸਾਫ਼, ਅੱਖਾਂ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ, ਨੱਕ ਦਰਮਿਆਨਾ ਤੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਤੇ ਵਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਹੀ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ।
